Video for 4th Street Studios

I have got to learn to shoot more behind the scene shots, they are fun to look at. Directing a large crew like this ( I think there was 16 people on the crew), always requires a large amount of energy. What I usually do on such a set like this, is start the day with a meeting where I talk about what is expected for the day, but also pass out energy drinks. RedBull used to be […]

Full Day Time Lapse

Actually spent all day, from early morning to late night, shooting a time lapse still series and video for Solar Reserve.  They wanted a cityscape of San Francisco, but not a totally recognizable area.  Very long shoot. Especially for such a simple end piece. The scenario was working with a second shooter on 3 hour shifts. Starting at 6:00am to get the sun rise, switching off every 3 hours to give the other person a break for something […]

Roger Craig

Always love to shoot celebrities. And I have been lucky enough to shoot quite a few. But for some strange reason, I was nervous meeting Roger Craig. Gosh, I have met better known celeb’s, politicians, all kinds of notables, and never been nervous before. Even Jan, the make-up artist thought it was pretty weird since she has worked with me on a ton of shoots. Heck, I have even taken shots of other 49er’s. Old teammates of Roger’s like […]

Wingstop

Really exciting campaign shoot for Wingstop.  Food and people shots all in one day. Which means we had a larger crew than normal. But it was a great shoot with a wonderful food client, and a really talent team. It’s nice when you can put together a quality shoot that requires both perfect food photography, and intense people shots. Usually it’s hard for one photographer to handle both areas. But since I started out as a food photographer, and […]

Bellermine

Sometimes, it’s cool to take a very basic shoot and turn it into some fun. Bellarmine College Preparatory was founded in 1851, it is the oldest secondary school in California. It is a Jesuit school guided by the principles of higher education. My father was the first in our family to attend this great educational facility. We plan to have Adi good to school here. I have been asked to help out with various promotional materials throughout the […]

VMWare

Running a test for the video we are creating for VMWare. The model needs to look as though he is being pulled back or tugged on by the words. It works better in video. Had to shoot the model on green screen so we could drop in the clients background. And we had to have him walk across a 30 foot wide area. So even though it looks like a small and simple shoot, we needed a lot […]

Just Catering

More tasty food project for Just Catering, a food prep and catering company. I have only shot a couple projects for this group, but so far each one has bee wonderful.  The Chef, Dave, and I, have already built a great relationship. Great because he is very passionate about what he does, And he loves to share his creations.  He does not simply cook food. To him, it is an art, a passion, a creation. Sometimes working all […]

Stock Shot

I was working on a project for Mid-western company. We captured this classic people in the airport shot. I have to admit, sometimes I like the old school ad shots. Just clean, simple, well executed. Old school worked for these very reasons. That still still works well today. As long as everything look natural, real, simple.  And always well composed.

Fox Theater

I don’t usually go on the shoots produced by the Affiliate studio – 4th Street Studios. But this was a special event being held at The Fox Theater in Redwood City. The place is well known for it’s Art Deco Architecture, and it’s Blues music – two things I truly love.  So I snapped a couple shots before enjoying the great food and fun music.

School Anounncer

OK, I have to share this. I was doing a favor for my sons school, shooting some images of the kids for a play. When the school announcer walked in, I HAD to get a shot of her. I TOTALLY LOVE this image.
