Construction Workers

There was a massive construction project underway directly across the street from my photography studio. Every day, the workers would park their trucks and heavy machinery in front of my building, often blocking the entrance. Rather than get into daily arguments with the crew, ( the last thing you want to do is piss off a bunch of hardworking construction workers), I decided to try a different approach.
I invited them into my studio for sandwiches, beer, and portraits. It turned out to be one of the best decisions I could have made. Not only did they stop blocking my entrance, but they also began looking out for my building, making sure it was protected throughout the construction project.
Sometimes, a little hospitality and a camera can accomplish far more than a confrontation.
